Company Secretary is a key functionary in the corporate pyramid. The following companies are required to appoint a company secretary in full-time employment compulsorily:
- All listed companies
- Every public company having paid up share capital of Rs. 10 crores or more
- Every other company having paid up share capital of Rs. 5 crores or more
A Company Secretary may also resign from the company by giving notice in writing.
